Welcome aboard the maiden voyage of the Game Show Radio with Curtis Earth Blog. I am Steadman and I will be your Blog representitive. Now, does anyone have any questions before we proceed? If so, post a comment below. If not, then sit back and relax and i'll try to keep this blog from sucking outloud.
Being that I have never blogged, I guess it would be a good idea to tell you who I am and why you should take the time and eye strength to read my musings.
My name is Justin Steadman and I am from the Dark Side fo Radio. For nine years, I toiled in the grasp of the Evil Empire know as Clear Channel Communications. While I am grateful for the oppurtunity I was given with darth and the crew, I hit a wall and therefore was deemed no longer required. Can't fault them completely, but I must admit....it stung. So, I basically did little for the first month of my new found freedom (unemployment) while weighing the few options I did have.
I was lucky enough to have known Curtis Earth from our days on the Shannon Burke Show and jumped at the chance to work with Curtis on a more full time basis. Good bye fluidnow.com (unemployemnt website) and hello earthtrivia.com! The Force is with me!
So, after a brief training session and the aquisition the necessary tools of the trade, I was ready to start chapter two of my life reborn and full of energy. Soon after a few trivia gigs, I became Curtis daily confidant (office manager) and trusted side kick (guy who gets lunch and sends out invoices, etc) which is a job I have really enjoyed!
Now, the time had come to start finding ways to grow this already succesful project into a multimedia mega hit (gotta love alliteration). This is where my Dark Side experience really came in handy, except this time, it would be for the greater good! Merging the fun and frivality of Earth Trivia with the power of radio to make this popular pub show pasttime (alliteration AGAIN...BAM) peak in popularity!! WORLDS COLLIDE! I wonder if this is how the Reese's guy felt this way after his huge invention took off? Anyway, our work was ahead of us. Would we find the right station to help us make this vision a reality? We had to and we did!
Enter the Han Solo of this horribly told tale, Tony D. Sales extrodinare of 1190 WAMT. After presenting our vision and laying out what and how we wanted to do it, it became crystal clear to us and to Han (Tony) that this project had a life and 1190 WAMT wanted to get into the Earth Trivia business and provide us a Millenium Falcon in which to fly our daily missions of bringing fun and interesting trivia to everyone who had a radio and/or computer at their disposal. Along with Chewie (Sorry Pete, you had to be Chewie for this to work) at the producing controls............GAMESHOW RADIO WAS BORN! We added only the finest folks as sponsors. Folks that believed in our vision as much as we did and we love ya'll for it.
Now the best part is for me, I am doing the thing I love (radio) while doing the other thing I love (trivia). Does it get better than this? Not for me it doesn't. I have found peace and am well on my way to becoming a Trivia Jedi!
I thank you for reading this long dribbly diatribe and your continued support of Curtis Earth Trivia. Be sure to listen to Game Show Radio every weekday from 9am to 10am on 1190 WAMT. It is the most unique radio program on the air today and it only works when YOU get involved....plus, you can win free stuff and that will work...won't it?

P.S: This is an excerpt from an actual conversation I had recently at the last trivia show I did.
"So, let me get this straight.....its a daily radio show (um...yes) where Curtis Earth and you (uh huh) do an hour long show featuring trivia (go on) and you give out prizes daily (right) to people who call up and participate?" (that's the jist... yes).
"Ok, I think I have it. Now what station is it on?" (1190 WAMT AM in Orlando). "Is that AM?" (yeah....think I just said that). "And its on everyday?" (nodding at this point due to redundancy). I added..."you can listen online at www.1190wamt.com if you're at work plus they will have daily podcasts available soon".
"Really?" (yeppers). "Wow, now that's alright" said the suddenly enthusiastic trivia game player.
"I can call in?" (yes you can....407-273-1190). "Wait, give it to me again slowly." (ok....4.....0...7...2...7...3...1...1...9...0). "Got it!!" "Sounds great Steadman...can't wait to hear you and Curtis" (thanks...in the nine years I've done live radio, its the most fun I have had!!) I proudly exclaimed.
The trivia player and I exchange hand shakes and well wishes. Just when I thought the conversation ended, the trivite had one more thing to ask........"So, what REALLY happened to you on the Shannon Burke Show. I smiled and walked on.....
Now the conversation was over...........
Later...............
